Do you long to come alive?
from alone to known
from lost to passionate
from darkness to hope

We're here to help you to stop "just surviving" and finally deal with the roots of your pain.
You are made for this. You are made to live fully alive and totally free. You are made to be seen, and understood, and delighted in, and whole. Have you gotten a little stuck in your journey towards experiencing these glorious truths about yourself?
The fact is, we have all gotten derailed on this journey at one time or another. It's a simple truth owed to the pain of experiencing life: you will get hurt. You may feel alone, or lost, or like you don't belong. You will taste the dark and ugly side of life along the way.
Many of us think we want a life without this pain, but in reality the pain itself is a friend on our quest towards really living. Here's the beautifully good news: it is the journey, the quest itself, that leads us all into wholeness. It is your story – from the smallest bumps and bruises to what may seem like insurmountable failure or pain – that holds the key to a life fully lived.
Do you want to step into this adventure? Do you long to unlock the truth about who you really are, and learn how to live this incredible life you were made to live?
Often, all we need is someone who has walked before us and can guide us along the way. Through therapy, workshops, and speaking engagements, Come Alive Counseling is here to guide you into the freedom and joy of a life fully lived. Would you invite us to join you on this journey?

"Your joy is your sorrow unmasked. And the same well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears. And how else can it be? The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.”

"I called Melanie when I found myself in an unexpected season of life. I needed a neutral and trusted source to unburden all my thoughts, fears, disappointments and emotions. I wasn't sure what counseling would bring or the impact it would have. She simply met me where I was at and journeys with me as I fight for forward progress. I've found acceptance, understanding, confidence and joy that touches every aspect of my life. This was the best gift I could have given myself."
"Richard has been a thoughtful, empathic listener and has imparted care, insight, and wisdom over the last year that we've been working together. I've been on an exploration facing my internal conflicts, and he has faithfully journeyed alongside me the whole way."
"I am so grateful for my time at Come Alive Counseling. Before beginning therapy with Amy, going to counseling was a scary thought for me. Amy immediately made me to feel comfortable and welcomed, and helped me see that God was working in each one of our sessions. I experienced His healing in many areas of my life during my time in therapy. I am very thankful for my time with Amy, and it has forever marked my life emotionally and spiritually."
"Melanie has made a profound impact on my heart, and her counsel has changed my life forever. In one of my deepest and darkest seasons, Melanie shepherded me through learning to understand my emotions and fears; she walked with me from darkness into light, and from brokenness into healing. It’s not her skill or depth of experience that make her a rare gift of a therapist (though they do), it is her essence - a soul marked by grace, truth, and honor. I will forever be grateful for her.”
"When I first met Kate, I was going through a season of uncertainty in almost every area of my life. Seeing her each week was like having a weight lifted off of my shoulders. When things didn't work out the way I wanted, having Kate’s guidance made my burdens so much easier to bear. Therapy was long overdue for me and I was very hesitant to go at first, but it has been more than worth it. I’m very honored to have had her as my therapist."
"Meeting with Amy has completely changed my life for the better. When I first started counseling I was so nervous and I saw therapy as something I needed to do to fix what I thought wasn’t right about myself. Amy has showed me that there isn’t anything I need to fix, and through our sessions I have learned more truths about myself and my emotions than I even thought was possible. She has walked with me through some of the hardest seasons I have ever gone through and has given me confidence to push through and work through the hard stuff even when it doesn’t feel possible. I have learned new ways to love myself and to work through all my relationships from the safe space that Amy creates for me on a weekly basis. I can truly say Amy has made a significant impact on my heart and my life and having her has my therapist has been one of the best decisions I have ever made!”
"As clients of Come Alive Counseling for multiple years now, both my husband and I confidently say our relationship has greatly improved. The guidance offered to us has opened new mental and emotional space for ourselves individually and between each other. Having room to safely ask or be asked, “is there more?” has been a healing touchstone in our marriage and that’s all thanks to Richard’s generous care, skillful input, and personal attention."
"I truly do not know where I would be without Kate! Through seeing her on a regular basis, I have learned so much about so many different aspects of my life – relationships, wellness, and my overall happiness. She really helped me understand why I was doing the things I was doing. She was so kind, such a good listener, and never made me feel judged at all! I am so, so thankful for her."
"Seeing Melanie on a regular basis completely changed my life. Meeting with a counselor was really scary for me, because I like everyone I come in contact with to think that I've got it all together. With kindness, gentleness, and a lovingly firm way of not letting me lie to her, Melanie helped me realize truths about my own life and spirit that I'm not sure I would've ever known. The things I learned and the tools I got from my time with Melanie have changed the way I approach all my relationships. I am eternally grateful for her wisdom, guidance, and counsel. Deciding to meet with her on a consistent basis is one of the best decisions I've ever made!”
